Paintings 1985-1995

These paintings are the foundation of my current figurative works. Inspired by dreams and visions, the paintings are narrative, surreal stories of spirit and muse. "Fire Water" and "Snapshot, Dream Vision" are semi autobiographical. I am fascinated by the frame as a devise, a way to look in, into the infinite potential of image and art as a medium to describe illusive visions and dreams. The paintings, "Car Blowing Down the Street" and "Feedback", are from my series "Slides Shot Off the TV", appearing to be abstract but are painted from photographic reference. OM
